The Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre, Inc
HOUSING COORDINATOR, to work with service agencies, municipalities, the private sector, all levels of governments and individuals to develop suitable hosing plans and enhance service provisions for homeless and individuals at-risk of homelessness in our community. The strategies will be culturally responsive, include multiple service delivery approaches and partnerships.
Expected qualifications: Education/experience in Human Services, Social work or Sociology fields; knowledge in Housing First philosophy and strategies; Excellent communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills; Leadership and decision making capabilities; knowledge of Tenant rights and responsibilities; knowledge of community resources, social service agencies and landlords in our area; Ability to speak and understand Cree language will be considered an asset; Valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle; Experience working independently, with a team, and in a multi-task environment; computer experience.
Employment is subject to a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check.
This is a full-time – 35 hrs/wk TERM position, starting immediately to March 31st 2017. Wage is $20-23/hr depending on experience.
