Employment Links Development Centre [ELDC]

Employment Links Development Centre Out of Work? Looking for a Job? Need Career Direction? We can help! ELDC Project activities are delivered from 51 Main Street.   Employment Assistance Services  Employment Assistance Services are here to help people find jobs and offer options for exploring employment and careers. We provide a variety of services and referrals for unemployed or underemployed Manitoba residents. We offer:
  • Free internet, fax, phone and computer access for job search and career exploration,
  • Local, regional and national job listings,
  • Resume and cover letter development,
  • Interview preparation, and
  • Basic Computer Orientation, Microsoft Office Tutorials, Keyboarding Pro Tutorial, On-Line Career Cruising
For Employment Assistance Services, contact 1-204-687-4710.   Job Coach  Our Job Coach is available to advise, coach, provide information to, and support people who are planning, seeking and managing their life/work direction, as well as create employer links. Contact our Job Coach at 1-204-687-8791.   Entry to Work in the North Employment Program  The Entry to Work in the North Employment Program is a pre-employment program. We currently offer 10 week sessions consisting of:
  • life skills,
  • upgrading Math and English skills,
  • essential skills,
  • Certificate Training in areas such as First Aid/CPR, Safe Food Handling, Serve it Safe and WHMIS.
Work experience is another component of the Program, for those deemed Job Ready. Participants must be Manitoba residents. For Employment Program information, contact 1-204-687-8791.
